Locum Tenens

How do I become a Soliant locum tenens?
Applying is easy. Just fill out an application online or call us at 800.849.5502 and one of our locum tenens recruiters will be happy to walk you through the application process to become a temporary physician with Soliant.

As a locum tenens doctor, how long do I need to commit?
The majority of Soliant locum tenens job assignments range from one week to one year. The benefit of traveling with Soliant is that you select your travel itinerary with our virtual calendar.  Simply let us know where, when, and how long you want your assignment.

When accepting a locum tenens job we ask that you commit to the length of that assignment only. After the assignment is completed, you are under no obligation with that facility or with Soliant.

How will Soliant Health prepare me for my temporary physician assignment?
Once you have accepted a locum tenens job assignment, your personal account executive will confirm your start date, shift, and salary. Behind the scenes, our travel coordinators will ensure all travel and lodging arrangements are prepared in advance of your arrival. We will send you a package with all the information you will need to start your physician travel assignment, including accommodations.

Where can I go as a locum tenens doctor?
With Soliant Health you have the flexibility to travel anywhere in the country. We have locum tenens positions from coast to coast, in small towns and large cities – in rural hospitals or in large medical centers.  Through our virtual calendar, you choose your assignment on your terms. Just tell us when and where you want to go and we’ll take care of the rest.

Once I'm licensed as a locum tenens to travel in one state, how long does it take to get licensed in the next state I'm traveling to?
It depends on the state: each has different licensing regulations for locum tenens. After all requirements have been met, you can get your license within four to six weeks. Our licensing assistance department will walk you through the entire process step-by-step to ensure you’re ready for your next locum tenens assignment. Click here for a comprehensive directory of State Medical Licensing Boards.

Does Soliant cover malpractice insurance?

With Soliant Physician Staffing, you have the strength and experience of a NYSE Fortune 1000 company behind you, so you are free to practice medicine and travel the country as a locum tenens.
