How do I become an advanced practice professional with Soliant Health?

What are the current requirements for advanced practice professionals?
The minimum requirements include a valid license in your discipline for the states where you practice, a current BCLS (CPR) card, updated physical and vaccinations, recent relevant experience, and solid medical employment references.

How long is the typical assignment for contract advanced practice assignments?
Most of our contract assignments last between four and 13 weeks. Occasional exceptions are made in some circumstances.

Once I have accepted a contract assignment, what happens next?
Once you have accepted a contract assignment, your Soliant Health recruiter will confirm your start date, shift, unit and salary. Behind the scenes, our travel coordinators make all of your travel arrangements, including accommodations, well in advance of your arrival. We will send you a package with all the information you need to start your assignment worry-free.

Where does Soliant Health place contract advanced practice professionals?
Soliant Health offers a wide variety of contract options and can place you almost anywhere in the country. We have positions from coast to coast, in small towns and large cities—in private practices, hospitals and other facilities.

Do I need a license for each state in which I work?
Yes, and you must be sure to be licensed before you begin your assignment. Your recruiter will walk you through the quick and easy state licensure process, and even cover the costs!

Once I'm licensed as a contract advanced practice professional in one state, how long does it take to get licensed in another state?
It depends, because each state has different licensing regulations. You may get your license the same day you apply, but sometimes it can take several months. Your recruiter will help you with the entire process.

How much money will I make as a contract advanced practice professional with Soliant Health?
Soliant Health is one of the highest paying healthcare staffing companies in the industry. Your pay rate depends on many variables, such as your experience level, hours, location and facility.

How often will I be paid?
Expect a check each Friday during your assignment. If you prefer the convenience and security of direct deposit, it’s easy to sign up. Just let your recruiter know.

How are taxes handled?
As your employer, Soliant Health withholds your taxes, so you don’t have to worry about the self-employment tax. At the end of the year, you'll receive a W-2 from every state in which you worked. Your recruiter can tell you more about how this works.

What happens once my assignment is complete?
If the facility asks you to extend your assignment, and you want to stay, you can continue for as long as you’d like. Or you can work with your recruiter to find a new contract advanced practice assignment or a permanent position, if you prefer.
