What are the current requirements for Healthcare IT professionals?
Information Technology skill set requirements will vary from assignment to assignment. Soliant Health is hiring all experience levels across every healthcare IT skill set. We are hiring clinicians, such as nurses and pharmacists, as well as non-clinicians with strong IT experience.

How long is the typical assignment for contract/travel healthcare IT jobs?
The length of the assignment varies on the client. We have opportunities that last 2 weeks and some that last 2 years.

Once I have accepted a contract assignment, what happens next?
Once you have accepted a contract assignment, your Soliant Health recruiter will confirm your start date, shift and salary. Behind the scenes, our travel coordinators make all of your travel arrangements, including accommodations, well in advance of your arrival. We will send you a package with all the information you need to start your assignment worry-free.

Where does Soliant Health place contract/travel healthcare IT professionals?
Soliant Health offers a wide variety of contract options and can place you almost anywhere in the country. We have positions from coast to coast, in small towns and large cities. Our clients include hospitals, pharmacies, healthcare insurance companies and many other healthcare related organizations.

Do I need a license for each state?
Information Technology professionals are not required to be licensed by the state. Some of our opportunities in the area of nurse and pharmacist informatics may require the respective state licensure. Most opportunities, though, will not require any specific state licensure.

Soliant Health is one of the highest paying healthcare staffing companies in the industry. Your pay rate depends on many variables, such as your experience level, hours, location and facility.

How will I be paid?
Expect a check each Friday during your assignment. If you prefer the convenience and security of direct deposit, it’s easy to sign up. Just let your recruiter know.

How are taxes handled?
As your employer, Soliant Health withholds your taxes, so you don’t have to worry about the self-employment tax. At the end of the year, you'll receive a W-2 from every state in which you worked. Your recruiter can tell you more about how this works.

What happens once my assignment is complete?
If the facility asks you to extend your assignment, and you want to stay, you can continue for as long as you’d like. Or you can work with your recruiter to find a new contract healthcare IT assignment or a permanent position, if you prefer.
