EEG Tech Hospital Contract

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Nationally Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist in at least two modalities.
3. At least five years of related experience.
4. Supervisory experience preferred.
5. Basic Life Support and certification and Evoked Potential knowledge required.
6. Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating both Behaviors and Operating Principles in all internal and external customer interactions. Performs duties with accountability, competency, innovation, collaboration, compassion and respect to create the best possible outcomes with exceptional customer experiences
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Acts as a mentor to lower level EEG Techs. Trains in advanced neurodiagnostic procedures, monitors performance, and coordinates daily work schedules.
2. Assists the department manager with performance issues, gives input on performance evaluations.
3. Prepares patients for procedures explains procedure, measures for accurate electrode sites, applies electrodes and adjusts as appropriate.
4. Performs advanced neurodiagnostic exams depending on modality: polysomnograms, nerve conduction studies.
5. Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
6. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
