Practice Orthopedics as a Hospital Employee in Sportsman's Paradise. Acadian Medical Center is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to practice in service area of 80,000 people. Employment or income guarantee packages are available with a competitive salary as well as stipends for future graduates, student loan assistance of $50,000, relocation and sign on bonuses.
A brand new facility opened in 2006, is a 52-bed acute care, 100,000 square foot medical facility. This state-of-the-art hospital is located right next to the recently completed 40,000 square foot Eunice Physician's Plaza. Acadian Medical Center features all private rooms and provides a comprehensive list of both inpatient and outpatient services, including critical care, pediatrics, and imaging services including MRI, CT and nuclear medicine.
Located just 40 miles from Lafayette and 90 from New Orleans, Eunice is a community well known for its Cajun heritage and tradition. On Mardi Gras, it hosts a traditional Courir de Mardi Gras. Eunice is proud to be home to the Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, which features exhibits, indoor displays, and hands-on craft and musical teaching workshops. There's the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been included in the Great American Movie Theatres Preservation Press Guide published by the Smithsonian. Louisiana State University-Eunice offers a variety of course offerings, an excellent Nursing School and many other business-related programs.
