Your Histology and Supervisor experience is in demand for this permanent day shift job at a 400 bed not-for-profit hospital. Minimum requirements for Histology Supervisor is ASCP certification, training in histology, basic math and chemistry skills, and three to five years of experience as a Histotechnologist, and Supervisory experience is required.
Duties include Supervise the Histology Department staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and compliance with hospital and department policies, procedures and other applicable health and safety regulations. Monitor quality control and quality assurance activities, schedule staff to meet productivity and budget goals. Perform the duties of the Histo technologist and resolve all instrumentation, procedural and staff relations problems. Ensure the department policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory agencies, e.g. JCAHO and CAP and CLIA. Ensure staff is adequately trained and able to perform all procedures.
