Travel Histo tech job in Syracuse, New York. This large teaching hospital has a 13 week contract job for a histology tech. This is a busy facility with a level I trauma center. An excellent candidate would be able to cut, stain, and do frozens. We have several travelers in this facility, and they are well treated.
Syracuse is home to what may be the only traffic light in operation that is upside down on purpose. Apparently a source of conflict when first installed in 1925, the reason it was hung upside down was to stop the recent Irish immigrants from throwing rocks at it and breaking it. With great resentment towards the British crown, these immigrants found placing the English "red" above the Irish "green" intolerable, and continued to break the light. The city capitulated, and switched the light. The state forced a return to the original light system, which led to more broken lights. They finally gave up and switched it back 1928, and it is still set up that way. Carefully drive to the intersection Tompkins Street and Milton Avenue. You can see it there now.
