Laboratory Jobs in Dallas and information on what makes Dallas a great place to live and work!
As the third largest city in Texas, and ninth largest in the United States, Dallas is one of the most important commercial, financial, and distribution centers of the Southwest, as well as a major regional center of culture and manufacturing. The region's recent population growth may be attributed in part to its diverse economy and beneficial tax structure, which have appealed to relocating companies. The city is also the headquarters for a number of large insurance and oil companies, and the site for regional offices of many federal agencies.
The area has three airports; the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth, ranks as one of the busiest in the United States. The area is full of entertainment with parks and greenbelts found in the city such as Marsalis Park, containing the Dallas Zoo; Lee Park; White Rock Lake; and Fair Park, which contains the Cotton Bowl Stadium and several museums. Texas Stadium is the home of the Dallas Cowboys professional football team. The Dallas Mavericks basketball team and Dallas Stars ice hockey team play at Reunion Arena; the Texas Rangers baseball team is based nearby at the Ballpark in Arlington.
