How do I become a Soliant healthcare traveler?
Applying is easy. Just fill out an application online or call one of our professionals and they will be happy to do it for you!

What are the current requirements for travel healthcare workers?
The minimum requirements for traveling healthcare workers include a valid license in the discipline in which you practice, a current BCLS (CPR) card, updated physical and vaccinations, recent clinical experience, and solid medical employment references.

What is the typical duration of a travel assignment?
The majority of Soliant travel healthcare job assignments are for 13 weeks. Occasionally, opportunities for shorter or longer assignments are available.

How long is my commitment for an assignment?
When accepting an assignment we ask that you commit to the length of that assignment. After the assignment is completed, you are under no obligation with that facility or with Soliant.

How will Soliant Health prepare me for my assignment?
Once you have accepted an assignment, your healthcare recruiter will confirm your start date, shift, unit and salary. Behind the scenes, our travel coordinators will ensure all travel and lodging arrangements are prepared in advance of your arrival. We will send you a package with all the information you will need to start your assignment, including accommodations.

Where can I go?
With Soliant Health you have the flexibility to travel almost anywhere in the country. We have positions from coast to coast, in small towns and large cities – in large teaching hospitals or in community medical centers.

Do I need a license for each state as an RN?
Yes, and you must be sure to be licensed before you begin your assignment. We will walk you through the quick and easy state licensure as well as cover the costs for you!

Once I'm licensed to travel in one state, how long does it take to get licensed in the next state I'm traveling to?
It depends on the state: each has different licensing regulations. You may be able to get your license the same day you apply, or it may take up to several months.

What will my salary be?
Pay rates depend on your specialty and experience as well as the facility and the location.

When and how will I be paid?
Soliant Health has a weekly pay system. You’ll be paid every Friday during your assignment and we’ll be glad to deposit your check directly for you.

How are my taxes handled?
As your employer, Soliant Health withholds your taxes; you are not an independent contractor and will not be penalized with self-employment tax. At the end of the year, you'll receive a W-2 from every state in which you've worked. Contact us for more information.

Does Soliant offer any bonuses if I refer a friend?
Yes! With our Referral Rewards Program you can earn bonus cash, prizes or both when you refer other health professionals to us that complete a 13-week assignment.

What happens once my assignment is complete?
If the facility would like to extend your assignment, you can continue with them if you’d like. If you or the facility do not wish to extend your assignment, you may contact Soliant to sign up for a new assignment or permanent position elsewhere.
