Job Title: School Social Worker Location: Pine Bush, NY Employment Type: Full-time, New School Year

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to join our team in Pine Bush, NY. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students' social and emotional well-being and providing crisis intervention services within the school district. This is a full-time position for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students' social and emotional challenges
• Provide crisis intervention services to students in need, including assessment, counseling, and referral to external resources when necessary
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic success and social development
• Facilitate social skills groups and workshops to enhance students' social skills and self-esteem
• Advocate for students' rights and access to appropriate educational opportunities
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, progress notes, and documentation of services provided
• Stay updated on best practices and current research in the field of school social work

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Current licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York
• Crisis intervention experience is required
• BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) training is preferred
• Knowledge of special education processes and familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
