We are a leading educational institution in San Antonio, committed to providing high-quality education and support services to students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year.
Position Overview: As a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome communication disorders and achieve their academic and social goals. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students with speech and language impairments. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to student development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide recommendations for speech and language goals and services
- Stay current with research, advancements, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid Texas state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of various assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
