Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in West Sacramento, CA
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the upcoming school year in West Sacramento, CA. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and has a desire to grow in the field of speech-language pathology.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the SLP with assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders
- Implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the SLP
- Conducting therapy sessions with students in individual and group settings
- Collaborating with other members of the educational team, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and treatment outcomes
- Documenting student progress and treatment plans in accordance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Valid SLPA license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and families
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
