Occupational Therapist
Newcastle, WA Area
Soliant Health seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping students with special needs achieve their full potential. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing students’ fine motor, visual motor, and sensory processing skills, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve their performance in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of students’ sensory processing, fine motor, and visual motor skills
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each student
- Providing direct therapy services to students and documenting progress regularly
- Communicating with parents, teachers, and other team members regarding student progress and treatment plans
- Participating in IEP meetings and advocating for the needs of students with disabilities
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy License in WA
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Strong knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor, and visual motor skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
