Position Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the sensory, motor, and self-care needs of students.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to address students' unique challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and IEP teams to ensure that therapy goals are integrated into students' educational plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Offer guidance and training to teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' development and inclusion.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Advocate for and promote inclusive practices within the school community.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
Qualifications:
- A valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification in School Occupational Therapy is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting is a plus.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic school environment.
- Dedication to enhancing students' physical and emotional well-being.
