Position: School Registered Nurse
School Year: 2023-2024
Location: Galt, CA
Caseload: -7 School sites, approx 3,500 students, ages Pre-K - 8th
-Oversee health department
-Provide training on medication administration
-Support for health assistants and LVN's
-Provide health plan development
Hours: 40hrs/wk
Job Description:
This position entails riding the bus with the student to and from school and assisting with medical needs.
Your duties as a School Registered Nurse may also include, but are not limited to:
Providing direct nursing care and medical assistance to the student, following prescribed medical plans and procedures.
Monitoring the student's health condition, including vital signs, medication administration, and any necessary medical treatments.
Assisting with activities of daily living, such as feeding, hygiene, and mobility, as required by the student.
Communicating and collaborating with parents/guardians, teachers, and other school staff to ensure coordinated care for the student.
Adhering to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional guidelines in the provision of healthcare services.
Please be aware that this position may require you to accompany the student on the school bus, ensuring their safety and well-being during transportation.
Requirements:
State RN License
