Job Title: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Fincastle, VA (30 minutes North of Roanoke)
Employment Type: Full-Time for the 2023-2024 School Year (Immediate Start through End of School Year)
Position Type: Itinerant with Paid Travel
Hours: Full-Time, 30-40 hours per week
Supervision: The SLP will not be providing supervision.
Hourly Rate: Indirect and direct services are paid the same hourly rate.

Position Overview: As a Full-Time SLP, you will serve as an itinerant therapist, working with students in various educational settings throughout the Fincastle area. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills and overall development of students. Immediate availability is required to support students for the duration of the school year.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology

Requirements:

• Valid SLP license
• Immediate availability for the 2023-2024 school year
• Ability to travel to different educational sites as an itinerant SLP
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to improving the communication skills of students
• Previous school-based experience is a plus
