Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Contracted Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 23/24 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. You will work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs.
  • Employ evidence-based teaching strategies and instructional materials to support student learning.
  • Monitor student progress and assess their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure effective inclusion and accommodations for students.
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
  • Attend team meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid California Special Education teaching credential.
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs.
  • Sound knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
