We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time contract position for the 2024-2025 school year in Hollister, California. This role will be based in a school setting, and we are actively interviewing candidates who meet all local and state regulatory requirements. Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.

Requirements:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist licensure in California.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with special education students and families.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders.
  • Familiarity with the IEP process and documentation requirements.

Job Duties:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
  3. Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, using evidence-based practices.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to support students' communication needs within the school environment.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluation results, treatment sessions, and progress reports.
  8. Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on strategies to promote communication development at home.
  9. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
  10. Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
