Caseload: Middle School - 6th Grade ELA

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. Your role will involve developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere that supports student growth and achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school staff to support student development and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• Relevant coursework in child development, instructional methods, and curriculum design.

Certification Requirements:

• Valid IL teaching certificate.
  • PEL & IEIN number required.
• Endorsements or additional certifications may be required based on specific grade levels or subject areas.
