One of Soliant's clients, located in the area of Antelope, CA, is interviewing School Psychologists for a 13-week assignment.

Details of the position below:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Cover two elementary schools
  • 1 school of preschool to 4th grade students and some mild-moderate Special Day classes
  • 1 school of transitional kindergarten to 8th grade students who are part of the Resource Specialist Program

As a school psychologist, day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting individual psychological evaluations, interpreting findings and making recommendations for a meaningful educational experience for each child.
  2. Counseling and providing psychological remedial measures for students, individually or in groups.
  3. Educating parents and staff on psycho-educational interventions.
  4. Consulting with teachers and other school personnel in relation to behavior management and learning problems.
  5. Establishing efficient communications with directors, principals, teachers, parents, students, appropriate personnel, and community agencies to improve the quality of service.
  6. Determining student’s ability to learn and suggesting instructional strategies and techniques.
  7. Communicating information clearly and concisely in multidisciplinary conferences.
  8. Maintaining accurate and organized evaluation records.

To provide psychology services in California schools, applicants would need to have the Pupil Personnel Services credential, issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. If you are an out-of-state applicant, Soliant can provide guidance and support in the licensure process.
