Soliant is working with a small school community near Auburn, WA, seeking a contract K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist.


   INFORMATION:  This position is part of the KEA bargaining unit.  Special Services staff receives additional benefits through an expansive array of classes and training opportunities. Professional development is a priority.  Collegial sharing and individual mentoring are readily available to staff. New specialists are trained and supported throughout the year. Instructional strategies and materials validated by research are selected and used extensively in our programs. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  1. Valid Washington State ESA certification for the speech-language pathologists is required and must be on file before beginning work.
  2. Major in Speech/Language Therapy
  3. Master's degree  
  4. Must be able to provide instruction for children with disorders of speech, hearing, and language to improve communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  1. Proficiency in a second language
  2. Experience working with a diverse student population and the specific school demographics
  3. Desired characteristics are: flexibility; ability to organize ideas, time, and materials to accomplish goals; enthusiasm; ability to express ideas clearly and understand concepts being discussed
