Batavia, IL: School Social Worker

Soliant is working with a K-12 school district in the area of Batavia, IL and is seeking a contract School Social Worker for the school year.

This is a moderately sized district of about 11 elementary schools, 2 Middle and 2 High Schools.

Scope of duties:

• Provide counseling support to students, in small groups or 1:1
• Applicants will be working in a mix of inclusion classrooms, or pulling students out for counseling.
• Collaborate with Special Education team to evaluate students and the suitability of their IEP goals
• Support students and staff in developing appropriate behavior intervention approaches
• Refer students and families to community and school resources to support their social and emotional well-being

Requirements:

• School Social Worker certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Graduate degree in Social Work
  • 600-hour internship in a school setting
  • 400 hours of supervised field experience with a supervisor holding a Master's degree in Social Work
• Out-of-state applicants who already hold a Social Worker license can also apply for this credential by reciprocity
