Job Title: Behavior Support Teacher

Job Type: Full-time, 2024-2025 School Year

Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Support Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a passion for helping students with behavioral challenges succeed in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to students, using evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure student success.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and participate in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide training and support to staff on behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to promote a collaborative approach to behavior support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Behavioral Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Texas teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral challenges, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
