Job Description: Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, school-based position in Vista, CA. This contract position is for the 2024/2025 school year. The successful candidate will assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students, particularly those who are bilingual, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments.
  • Implement therapy plans designed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to bilingual students in individual and group settings.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
  • Current California state licensure as an SLPA.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish preferred).
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

State-Specific Requirements:

  • Must hold or be eligible for California state licensure as an SLPA.
  • Compliance with all California state requirements for school-based SLPAs, including background checks and certifications.
