Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Toms River, NJ for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position, and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, with a focus on bilingual (Spanish-English) communication skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' communication goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, addressing areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills within the academic setting, taking into consideration bilingual and multicultural factors
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies for promoting language development and academic success for bilingual students

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of New Jersey
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • CFs (Clinical Fellows) are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support and supervision provided
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders in bilingual populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
