California Special Day Class Teacher

Location: South San Francisco area

To support our mission, we have partnered with Soliant Education, a trusted leader in education staffing, to fill two important positions within our district.

Position 1: Special Day Class Teacher (5th-7th Grade, Moderate to Severe)

Position 2: Resource Classroom (Kindergarten to 5th Grade, Mild to Moderate Certifications)

Job Description:

As a Teacher of a Special Day Class, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California teaching credential in Special Education (for the respective position).
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Benefits:

Soliant Education offers competitive compensation, including an hourly rate between $45-50 per hour, depending on experience and classroom type. In addition to the competitive salary, we provide the following benefits:
