Cardiac Device Tech, 40 Hours, Contract 13 Weeks Plus

Cocoa Beach, FL - I am looking to hire a Cardiac Device Tech in the Cocoa Beach, FL area.  The qualified candidate will be required to travel within the Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Palm Bay, and Melbourne areas.  This position will cover multiple locations in Brevard County.  This can either be a 13-week contract position, 26 weeks, even up to a year.  Previous clinic experience desired.

DETAILS

• Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5PM
• 13 weeks, 26 weeks, 39 weeks, 52 weeks

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Provide patient care
• Perform daily review of remote transmission of devices implanted within patients
• Interpret arrhythmias, troubleshoot and reprogram settings of pacemaker/defibrillators
• Maintain computer programmers for patient interrogations
• Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, cardiac RNs and device nurses and device staff in multiple clinics in Brevard County, Florida

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

• Cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators
• Strong training background in devices
• Strong experience working with patients, checking pacemakers & ICDs
• Ability to run a variety of programmers
• Strong knowledge of Medtronic, St. Jude, Biotronik, Sorin, Boston Scientific

QUALIFICATIONS

• CRAT is preferred
• Certification as  Cardiac Device Technician (CCT or Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) preferred, but not required for hire
