Position: Cath Lab Nurse Location: Charlotte, North Carolina Contract Type: Short-term contract, with potential for extension Shift: Flexible shifts available Start Date: Immediate
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist cardiologists and interventional radiologists during complex cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment, such as fluoroscopy machines and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids, ensuring accurate dosage and monitoring patient response
- Monitor patient vital signs, interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs), and provide immediate intervention in case of complications
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records using cath lab-specific software systems
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and cath lab protocols
- Proficiency in using cath lab equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems and intravascular imaging technology
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills within a fast-paced environment
