Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing and arranging surgical equipment and supplies
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure a smooth flow of the surgical process
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout surgeries
• Handle and document surgical specimens according to established protocols
• Provide support and reassurance to patients and their families before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care

Requirements:

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Minimum of 3 years of recent CST experience with a focus on trauma cases
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, infection control, and surgical procedures
• Ability to adapt quickly to different surgical environments and procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• BLS certification
