Certified Nursing Assistant / Paraprofessional

Title: Certified Nursing Assistant / Paraprofessional - Full-Time Elementary Caseload

Position: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Full 2023 / 2024 School Year

Job Description:

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Paraprofessional to work with elementary students in need of support at school. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, school nurses, and other staff to support the health and educational needs of students.

Responsibilities:

- Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and medication administration
- Provide support to students during classroom activities, therapy sessions, and other educational and social activities
- Monitor and document student progress and medical concerns
- Communicate regularly with teachers, nurses, and family members to ensure students are receiving appropriate care and support
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other school activities

Requirements:

- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required
- Experience working with children with disabilities in a school or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
