Certified Nursing Assistant / Paraprofessional

Title: Elementary School Certified Nursing Assistant / Paraprofessional – Full-Time

Position: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Full 2023 / 2024 School Year

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Paraprofessional to work with elementary students in need of support at school. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the personal care needs of students, as well as supporting student learning and socialization.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care support to students, including toileting, feeding, and medication administration
- Assist in the classroom, therapy sessions, and other school activities to support students' academic and social growth
- Monitor and document student progress and any medical concerns
- Communicate regularly with teachers, nurses, and family members to ensure students are receiving appropriate care and support
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other school activities

Requirements:

- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required
- Experience working with children with disabilities in a school or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
