Position Overview: We're currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This role involves working in a school environment, providing valuable support to Occupational Therapists and delivering essential services to students with diverse needs. Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' functional abilities and needs.
- Support in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support students' progress and functional skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance or related field.
- Current state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligibility for certification.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow direction from supervising Occupational Therapist.
