Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Implement personalized treatment plans to address students' individual needs and promote participation in classroom activities.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, conducting therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' success and participation in educational tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • State licensure or eligibility as a COTA.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not mandatory.
