Job Posting: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - School-Based Role near El Paso, IL

We are looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team near El Paso, Illinois. This is a full-time, school-based role, focusing on an elementary and junior high caseload. You will work closely with a licensed occupational therapist to provide therapy and support to students, helping them develop essential life and learning skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Near El Paso, IL 
  • Caseload/Population: Elementary and Junior High students
  • Assignment Period: Full school year
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services to students
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
  • Provide support in both individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are being met
  • Document student progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist and school team

Qualifications:

  • Illinois COTA certification required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy or relevant field
  • Experience in a school-based setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
