Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is needed in Amarillo, Texas.

A Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is needed for a surgery center located in Amarillo, Texas. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. Current certification as a CSFA from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
4. Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
5. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, suturing techniques, and wound closure
6. Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly
7. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment

Responsibilities of the CSFA include:

1. Assisting the surgeon during procedures
2. Preparing the operating room, instruments, and equipment
3. Maintaining a sterile field during surgery
4. Providing hemostasis and wound exposure
5. Closing incisions and applying dressings
6. Documenting the procedure in accordance with established policies and procedures
