The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education Specialist shall observe, consult with, and assist educational staff members as they adapt classroom instructional strategies to meet the students’ educational needs. The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education Specialist shall also provide direct instruction, supervise the work of specially trained aides, and serve as a liaison between the school and various community agencies and professionals that provide services to students and their families.
Candidates must have: Teaching licensed for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Location: Pittsfield, MA
- W2 contract with benefits

- Open positions throughout district
- Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the development of each student.
- Perform classroom management duties, enforcing district rules governing the conduct.
- Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the building and/or program.
- Understand and be able to implement due process guidelines following state and federal rules, regulations, and District policies including applicable deadlines.
- Attend meetings, workshops, and training in the field of hearing impairment as directed by the supervisor.
