Champaign, IL: School Social Worker

Calling on certified School Social Workers based in Champaign, IL! Soliant is working with a school community in the area that is seeking a full-time contract Social Worker for the remainder of the school year!

Details of the assignment below:

• Full-time (35 hours per week)
• Work with elementary or middle school students
• Start: ASAP
• End: end of school year

Requirements:

• Social Worker credential issued by the Illinois State Board of Education 

Essential functions:

• Assess students for support systems, physical and emotional functioning, barriers to academic performance, peer issues, suicidal/homicidal ideation, and substance abuse;
• Implement treatment and discharge plans that support student self-determination;
• Provide direct therapeutic services such as individual, or group therapy regarding specific issues;
• Provide crisis management services, including assessing for safety;
• Provide case management services including, but not limited to, referrals to community resources, collaboration with other professionals
