Chesapeake Beach, MD: School-based Mental health Co-ordinator

Soliant is working with an established client, located in Chesapeake Beach, MD, to place a Mental Health Co-ordinator in a supervisory role for the upcoming school year. 

As a Mental health Co-ordinator heading the behavior management team, applicants will:

• Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians
• Educate teachers and instructional assistants in behavior management in the classroom
• Develop on-going professional development for all staff with the goal of addressing and reducing inappropriate student behavior
• Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and designing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Undertake case management duties by overseeing the provision of mental health services and the referral process

Requirements:

• Applicants MUST be dual-certified, holding a Maryland Department of Education certificate as one of the following:
  • School Psychologist OR
  • School Social Worker OR
  • Licensed Professional Counselor
• AND hold a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst credential
• Possess 3-5 years of experience as a key player in behavior management in school settings
