We are currently seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist to join our team in Redwood City, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for processing lab specimens and performing various laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and must be a generalist with the ability to perform all duties including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, and some limited micro.

Responsibilities:

  • Process laboratory specimens and perform various laboratory tests.
  • Ensure accuracy of results and timely reporting of test results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Abbott architects for chem & coagulation, Beckman Holter dxh 800 for hematology, Iris for urinalysis, and manual ortho gel for blood bank.
  • Adhere to established laboratory policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Maintain laboratory records and documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Active California CLS license.
  • 2+ years of experience as a generalist in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Experience performing chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, and limited microbiology.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
