Established health care corporation in Northern Arizona has an immediate need for a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist. This is a travel, contract assignment with potential for direct hire. Qualified candidates must have 2+ years inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience, at least 1 year in oncology pharmacy. This is a Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm schedule. Candidate must be flexible to work in a brand-new outpatient/oncology pharmacy attached to the hospital. Compensation for travel is available.

Job duties will include but are not limited to preparing medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. Requiring candidates certified BCOP.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Furnishing medications, supplies and drug information in a timely manner
• Maintain JCAHO compliance and other regulatory standards.
• Monitor drug therapy for inpatient care
• Discuss potential problems with medical staff and document
• Be familiar with hospital technology systems

Qualifications :
• 2+ years clinical experience (hospital/acute care oncology pharmacist)
• 1+ years specific oncology inpatient/clinical experience
• Graduate from a college of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred
• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certified
• Completion of Post Graduate Post Graduate Year 1 or 2 (PGY1 or PGY2) Oncology Residency plus
• Must have active and clear Arizona Pharmacy licensure

Desired Education:
• Graduated with ACPE accredited license
• Preferred PharmD
• Pharmacy College degree or similar degree

Work Hours : Full Time / Mon – Fri / 8am – 5pm
