| Primary duties of position: | Mental Health Support, SEL groups/behavior needs. Case management. Meet with SPED Director 2x a month. Making sure deadlines of IEPs/Evaluation deadlines are met, Reviewing IEPs before department of SPED. Inclusive learning throughout – more special education minutes more involved. More support role. Points to talk about: Small District – 7000 total. Brick and mortar schools. Close-knit staff and community feel. Very high retention rate of staff. Each school has unique model. Low staff to student ratio – they like to ensure it is small. Professional development training provided by district. Title 1 district. High Latino population. |
