Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (2023-2024)
Location: Barre, VT

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide specialized instruction to students with a wide range of learning abilities and disabilities.
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Utilize various instructional strategies and techniques to promote student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance and progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid Vermont state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
