Soliant has partnered with a long-time client, a school district in the area of Arroyo Grande, CA, to place a contracted Behavior Specialist, to assist with coverage of two FMLA leaves. 

Information on the assignments below:

  • Full-time (approx 37.5 hours per week)
  • First assignment: March to June 2019
  • Second assignment: August to December 2019

As a Behavior Specialist, applicants will:

  1. Represent Student Services in a positive, professional manner.
  2. Develop, implement and revise behavior programs for identified students in accordance with best practice methodologies and procedures
  3. Develop data collection systems, and make recommendations based upon results; develop individualized program notebook and review notebook materials and guidelines regularly.
  4. Collaborate with staff, administrators, and families and outside agencies to assure efficient behavior program implementation
  5. Train and direct Special Education Instructional Assistants as assigned.
  6. Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in the development of behavior support plans as appropriate

We seek applicants who possess either of the following credentials:

  • Board Certification as a Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) OR
  • Possession of a School Psychology credential, issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing OR
  • Possession of a Special Education credential in mild-moderate or moderate-severe disabilities, with endorsements in Autism Authorizations

In addition to one of the listed requirements, applicants must:

  1. Have CPR and First Aid certification
  2. Be certified in Crisis Intervention Training
