Soliant has partnered with a long-time client, a school district in the area of Arroyo Grande, CA, to place a contracted Behavior Specialist, to assist with coverage of two FMLA leaves.
Information on the assignments below:
- Full-time (approx 37.5 hours per week)
- First assignment: March to June 2019
- Second assignment: August to December 2019
As a Behavior Specialist, applicants will:
- Represent Student Services in a positive, professional manner.
- Develop, implement and revise behavior programs for identified students in accordance with best practice methodologies and procedures
- Develop data collection systems, and make recommendations based upon results; develop individualized program notebook and review notebook materials and guidelines regularly.
- Collaborate with staff, administrators, and families and outside agencies to assure efficient behavior program implementation
- Train and direct Special Education Instructional Assistants as assigned.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in the development of behavior support plans as appropriate
We seek applicants who possess either of the following credentials:
- Board Certification as a Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) OR
- Possession of a School Psychology credential, issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing OR
- Possession of a Special Education credential in mild-moderate or moderate-severe disabilities, with endorsements in Autism Authorizations
In addition to one of the listed requirements, applicants must:
- Have CPR and First Aid certification
- Be certified in Crisis Intervention Training
