Contract School Psychologist, San Luis Obispo CA

One of Soliant's long-term clients, located in the area of San Luis Obispo, CA, is interviewing School Psychologists for a contract position.

We seek a PPS-credentialed applicant for an assignment lasting between 3 to 6 months. Additional details will be discussed in an interview with the school administration. 

We seek motivated applicants with excellent clinical skills, and who are invested in attaining educational goals.

As a school psychologist, day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conducting individual psychological evaluations, interpreting findings and making recommendations for a meaningful educational experience for each child.
2. Counseling and providing psychological remedial measures for students, individually or in groups.
3. Educating parents and staff on psycho-educational interventions.
4. Consulting with teachers and other school personnel in relation to behavior management and learning problems.
5. Establishing efficient communications with directors, principals, teachers, parents, students, appropriate personnel, and community agencies to improve the quality of service.
6. Determining student’s ability to learn and suggesting instructional strategies and techniques.
7. Communicating information clearly and concisely in multidisciplinary conferences.
8. Maintaining accurate and organized evaluation records.
