Contract Staff Pharmacist (Outpatient/Retail Pharmacy) - Part time, Shreveport, LA

Soliant Health is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Pharmacist to join our outpatient/retail pharmacy team. This position offers the flexibility of a contract employment arrangement. Job Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapies and provide necessary counseling.
• Perform medication order verification and clinical checks for appropriateness and accuracy.
• Maintain proper inventory control and participate in medication procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns from patients and healthcare providers.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in pharmaceutical care.

Requirements:

• Valid pharmacy license in the state of LA.
• Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle a high volume of prescriptions (~250 scripts/day).
• Flexibility to work day-shift hours and one weekend shift per month.
• Hours 8:30a-7:30p M-F and 12:30p-7:30p SS.
