This position will oversee all clinical pharmacy programs for the entire partnering Health System.

Duties: 

• Collaborate with site clinical leaders and oversee the continued development and growth of acute care clinical pharmacy services that promote evidence-based medicine, financial sustainability and patient outcomes.
• Be responsible for the P&T committee and system formulary management including drug utilization evaluations. 
• Establish outcomes and performance measures

 
This is the ideal position for someone with system experience in clinical pharmacy services in acute care and formulary management. In this role you will utilize your strong background and skills in continuous quality improvement to drive success and consistency across the organization. Project management experience. Expertise in lean methodology for quality improvement is preferred.
 
This is Director level position located at our Corporate offices in La Jolla.
Duties/Highlights:

• Directs, coordinates and supervises all activities in the hospital pharmacy including purchasing, receiving, storing, compounding and dispensing of drugs
• Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that departments operates within budget
• Ensures delivery of quality pharmacy services
• Oversees inventory system control of department supplies and pharmaceuticals purchases
• Participates in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as require
• Selects, trains/orients department staff (either directly or indirectly). Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel action
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of department reports. Prepares periodic reports for top management as required
