Position Summary:

As a dynamic Staff Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients in both the in-patient and out-patient settings. In addition to dispensing medications, you will be involved in drug regimen review, patient and staff education, inventory management, therapy decisions, drug therapy monitoring, technician supervision, and community education. Working Hours: 10-hour shifts


Responsibilities:

- Accurately and efficiently dispense medications to in-patient and out-patient populations
- Conduct thorough drug regimen reviews to ensure patient safety and optimize treatment outcomes
- Provide comprehensive education to patients and healthcare professionals on medication usage and potential side effects
- Proactively manage inventory levels and ensure appropriate medication supply
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to make informed therapy decisions based on patient-specific factors
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of drug therapies and identify and resolve potential medication interactions
- Provide supervision and guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Deliver engaging community education programs to raise awareness on medication-related topics

Qualifications:

- Current Montana pharmacist license (required)
- Demonstrated experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting (required)
- In-depth knowledge of medication therapy, pharmaceutical guidelines, and best practices
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong dedication to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
