A school in the Posen, Illinois area is searching for a kind and compassionate School Social Worker (SSW) to join their Special Education team for the full 2024-2025 school year. Our School Social Worker will be instrumental in providing essential support to students facing social, emotional, economic, and environmental challenges. By collaborating with students, families, teachers, and other school staff, the School Social Worker will play a critical role in enhancing students' educational performance and overall well-being.
 

Position Details: 

  • 08/19/2024 - 05/23/2025
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • Caseload: PreK-Kindergarten building, specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process. 
  • Pay Range: $25 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience

General Responsibilities: 

  • Assess the social and emotional needs of students and develop intervention strategies to address these needs.
  • Provide direct support services through counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and external agencies, facilitating access to community resources for students and families.

Requirements: 

  • Must have a Masters Degree in Social Work
  • Must have the Illinois PEL 
  • Must have an active School Social Work License for the state of Illinois, and state of residency, if applicable
