Key Responsibilities:

• Elementary School Special Education Teacher: You will be responsible for working with elementary school students who have severe and profound disabilities. Your role will involve creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum materials, and providing specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Middle School Special Education Teacher: For the middle school position, you will be working with students in this age group. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective teaching strategies, collaborating with other educators and support staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Active PEL (Professional Educator License) with LBS1 Endorsement: Candidates should possess an active Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of Illinois with an LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) endorsement, demonstrating a strong understanding of special education practices.

Caseload Details:

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of students with diverse needs, and your expertise in special education will be pivotal in tailoring instruction and support to each individual student.
