Position Overview: As an Elementary Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs. You will work closely with students, their families, and a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide the necessary support to help each student reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning experience.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with students with special needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
